Access, the Administrative Committee to Co-ordinate English Speaking Services, is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit organization that provides information and services to the English speaking community. They are based in The Hague and recently opened an Amsterdam Office.

Stichting Buitenlandse Partner is an organization for Dutch citizens with partners from outside the EU. The web site includes stories of experiences with the IND.

The American Citizen Services web page at the US Consulate in Amsterdam has useful information about residence permits, work permits, and drivers licenses.

Expatica is a web site for expatriates in the Netherlands, with news in English, practical information on living and working in the Netherlands, and discussion forums.

US Embassy in The Hague is the official site of the U.S. Embassy in The Netherlands.

IND is the web site of the Netherlands government immigration service.

Elynx is a website with resources and listings for the English speaking community.

Gay Organizations

Love Exiles Netherlands is an online community for bi-national same-sex couples living in the Netherlands or considering moving to the Netherlands to be together.

COC is the national gay rights organization in The Netherlands. There are local COC chapters all over the country, which organize social and educational activities.

ELF (Eerste Lesbische Fietsclub) is a lesbian cycling club that organizes monthly rides from March through October.

Pink Point Gay and Lesbian Information and Souvenirs is a gay and lesbian information kiosk situated at the Homomonument on the Amsterdam Westermarkt. It is open 7 days a week, from 12 PM till 6 PM.

Immigration Rights Organizations

Immigration Equality is a coalition of immigrants, attorneys and activists that addresses discrimination in immigration law through education, outreach and advocacy. Their web site has lots of information for bi-national couples, including an extensive list of GLBT immigration rights groups around the world and an FAQ.

Love Sees No Borders is an web site dedicated to promoting awareness of the plight of same-sex binational couples in the United States.

FAIR (Free American Immigration Rights) is an online group that advocates for equal immigration rights in the US.
